  1.     BEGIN, A Tactical Starship Simulation should be available on,
  2. this BBS.  It is the finest, most accurate Starship Simulation yet.

  4.     Unlike almost all other "Trek" games, Begin does not employ the
  5. unrealistic "quadrant-sectors" or the "Mass Hoard of aliens" approach.
  6. Instead, all ships are created equal with intelligent enemy strategy
  7. being used to defeat the unsuspecting human player.
  8.  
  9.     Begin also features four different nations, Federation, Klingon,
  10. Romulan and Orion, with the human player becoming the nation of their
  11. choice.  The program also provides for numerous ship classes of varying
  12. design for each of the different nation.

  14.     There are not any artificial "difficulty levels" in Begin. Instead
  15. if a player wishes for an easier scenario, they may command a fleet of
  16. up to seventeen ships against a smaller enemy force.
  17.  
  18.     We are currently planning Version 2.0 and are interested in your
  19. ideas.  To make this exchange easier for all, we have set up the Micro
  20. Foundry BBS. It is an open board giving all callers 60 minutes.
